Trybe's New 'You Can Do It!' at Pasir Ris Sec!

Thank you Pasir Ris Sec for having us last Wednesday and Thursday at your school. Trybe hopes that every seed of encouragement we have planted in the Secondary One students will bear fruit, because we truly believe in the potential of every student.

This is also the inaugural run of our Revised 'You Can Do It' programme! It is definitely even more interactive and engaging for the students. To find out why Trybe staff or volunteers are cutting apples in the middle of the classrooms, join us at our new YCDI runs!

Hwa Chong Sabbatical Programme

We began this month with a special project named 'Reaching the Mountain Top' at Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) College Section for the JC1's post-exam sabbatical week, and had an enjoyable time!

From our interactions with the previous group of HCI students in July, we identified various topics that pertain to the concerns of their hearts, and discussed these this time. These include issues like self-awareness, stress management, friendship and forgiveness.

Do not think we cannot have fun with serious topics. We shared so much laughters with the HCI students and were very glad to receive feedback that the 2-day programme engaged them very well and was really relevant in helping them cope with the different issues in their lives. *smiles*

A Day after W2 Cluster SL Camp…

My bones were aching when I woke up this morning, can’t help feeling old, ha!
Interestingly my mood was not affected by my tiredness, I felt joy as moments shared during the camp flashed across my mind.

Facilitators sitting together, giving their best to plan a good camp
Familiar faces greeting me with beautiful smiles as they walked into the campsite
Hardworking people working under the hot sun to build the water fountain
“Come on!” “You can do it!” “Great Job!”

Thank you facilitators for leading such extraordinary lives.
You live life passionately, serve others humbly and build lives patiently.
I feel honoured to be part of this wonderful team.

Thank you campers for accepting us to be your friend, and trusting us to be your guide.
You gave up your comfort to build the fountain, put aside your rights to overcome differences and you preserved to take challenging steps towards greatness.
I treasure the friendship developed, am inspired by your willingness to grow and I feel really glad to be able to share your journey towards greatness.

Yusof Ishak, Dunearn, Bukit Batok, Hill Grove – YOU ARE THE BEST!

What defines beauty for you?

The world out there is trying to tell us so many things.

That is why it is so important to be aware of what we see, hear and receive as values. When we loosely allow an influx of messages of all assortments come into our minds, our self-esteem can get damaged silently and gradually.

Who and what define beauty for you today?
