My Top 10 National Day Highlights

Happy 42nd Birthday to our Nation!
Here are the Top 10:
1. I went to this year’s parade at the Marina Bay with my father… and the only reason why I got to do that is because my mother is away in Toronto visiting with her grand-children. So when my father wondered which uncle he should take to the parade this year, I tried to remain as calm as I jumped up and down frantically like a mad person.
2. The parade theme this year – City of Possibilities. Love it.
3. The many many happy faces of children.
4. The Sky-diving displays.
5. Did you know that light travels faster than sound? New discovery for me as we witnessed the presidential gun salute, it was quite loud.
6. The spectacular Fly Past on several occasions by the Singapore Air Force, I would like to take part in that segment next year.
7. The National Anthem while accompanied by a fly-past of the State Flag. There is something magnificent about a flag waving in the huge skies.
8. The cleanest toilets are found in Singapore.
9. 7,000 participants put up the National Day Show, most of whom are selfless volunteers. I understand the youngest participant being 9 and the oldest at 71. We thank you.
10. Yet another timely reminder of what a great country I belong to, and will remain committed to serve.
