You are Special

A friend of mine closed his training by holding up a 2$ bill that he carefully draw from his wallet. In the room of 30 rowdy normal-tech students, he asked, "Who would like this $2 dollar?" Hands started raising up. He said, "I am gonna give this $2 dollar bill to one of you in this room but first, let me do this..."
He crumpled the dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it?"
Still hands were up in the air and kids starting to get really excited to grab it from his hands. Well, he replied, "What if I do this?" He dropped it on the ground an started to grind it in the floor with his shoes. He picked it up, now as crumpled as ever and even dirty. "Now who still wants it?"
Still hands went into the air.

"Guys, you all learned a simple yet a very valuable lesson here. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It is still valuable and it is still worth $2 dollar." Many times in our live, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.

We may feel as though we are worthless, But no matter what has happened or what will happen to you, you will never lose your value: dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives come not in what we do or who we know but by WHO WE ARE.

YOU ARE SPECIAL - DON'T EVER FORGET THAT.
