C. S. V. - Service Learning Camp W2 Cluster
Over the weekend, 22 campers from West 2 clusters embarked on a mission to build a water fountain.
(Participating schools: Bukit Batok Secondary School, Dunearn Secondary School, Hillgrove Secondary School and Yusof Ishak Secondary School)
It’s not something that can be done by one man; neither it’s a mission that can be achieved overnight. Whether rain or shine, the work never stop. They dug as deep as they can, carried as many rocks as they can. The process was challenging and exhausting.
The campers not only have to battle against the physical tiredness, they also have to overcome other challenges like the weather, working with unfamiliar people, different abilities, limited tools. But as a team, they overcome it.
On behalf of all the facilitators, I want to tell you all that we are very proud of you and we believed that each of you are destiny for greatness.
Don’t give in! Don’t give up! Press on!
Remember C (challenge) S (strength) V (vision). Focus on your vision and use your strength to overcome the challenge.
(quoted from Mr Adam, teacher in-charge of the camp)
See you soon!
