Our thoughts about VEC '08
The camp was very helpful and I think it has adressed our concerns (uncertainties and insecurities) as a facilitators directly. I felt that it has equipped me with the skills needed as facilitators both theoretical and practical through small group simulation within our group. I would recommend this camp to others because the skills I learned here can be applied to other areas of my life too. - Merryn
This camp has reminded me of the potential importance that we may impart to other youths. - Keith
I definitely learnt how to effectively interact with the students. I am really glad that I have participated in this camp as I learnt alot of things that I can never learn outside of this camp. A big thank you to everyone! - Glenda
I've learnt to reflect a positive reflection on the things I do. Things learnt will be used in my daily lives with my family, friends and loved ones! Thank you Trybe you've made a difference in my life! - Hakim
This was the most sincere workshop I've been through in terms of reflecting geniune concern and valuing people as individuals, each as special and important, not just to run through the programmes and be done with it but to really make the kids' voice heard and understand and soehow give each or leave for each youth the impression that he is valued. It was fun, lighthearted and inspiring sessions and this would mark a difference with my interactions with people not just with the students but with others in all my daily walk. - Grace
I feel that I have gain confidence and ready to facilitate small groups. - Alex
I think I learnt alot from the last 2 days from listening to engaging youths and it all brought a new light to the word facilitating. Knowing all these helped me alot to understand more about the people around me. Ready to face students problems and things ahead. - Vivien
Thank you Trybe for organising the volunteer equipping camp, I learned so much from all the sessions. Thanks Rachel for all the talks and those very encouraging smiles, effort and patience you showed us. Without you, this camp wouldn't be so lively and fun! - Sharon
