ICL Training for MOE JC Scholars
To all the scholars who attended our ICL Training in Dec ’08 & Jan ‘09, I am so glad our path crossed, truly enjoyed the time spent… we look forward to many great years for you in Singapore!
"We would like to thank Trybe for a fantastic ICL workshop. The quality of the workshop was obvious in the well thought through programme and carefully crafted activities to maximise learning points. Our students have benefitted thoroughly through the short but very enriching time with your staff and facilitators. We would also like to appreciate the facilitators for the time they have taken to be with our students and befriend them.
We ourselves have also learnt a lot from the interaction with your staff. The lessons taught on inter-cultural awareness will definitely help the students prepare for the challenges ahead in their stay here in Singapore.
We would like to affirm Trybe that your work is of great value and we wish you great success as you endeavour to positively influence the youths in this generation so that they in turn can contribute to the generations after."
– Ms Joyce Yeo (Scholarships Executive, School Planning and Placement Division)
"This inter-cultural program by Trybe has indeed promoted and educated the importance of unity and harmony among nations, dispelling unnecessary prejudices among each other and also foster new cross-cultural friendship among these youth. I am certain that the seed of the need to understand and appreciate each other has already been planted among these youth leaders, which will be future leaders, change-makers and even policy-makers in their nations. As they move on in life, hopefully, this seed will grow in them to do great things to promote peace and harmony for the world."
- Leovine (Trybe Intern)
"I’d like to encourage all Singaporean students to treasure the stable education system in the country. It is something that not a lot of countries are able to give their people. Let’s us all work hard for Singapore!"
- MinMin (Temasek Poly Student, Trybe Volunteer)
"I think Singaporeans should also attend this programme because I certainly learnt more about Singapore. That’s really through the amazing race as we travelled to Toa Payoh, Ang Mo Kio, Bugis, Little India, Sim Lim Square and parts of Orchard. Finally, I have broken out from Jurong/Boonlay and I proud to say that I have gained knowledge of gourmet eateries in those areas! And of course! Congratulations to my own team, team 3, for winning the amazing race!
I’m glad to play a part in the programme too as I feel that I have gained more intercultural-intelligence which will certainly help me to become more adaptable in foreign lands. I’m thankful to have met so many of my wonderful group members and I really hope that they will enjoy Singapore like how I do. More importantly my friends!, keep an open-mind and never stop that curious mind from learning."
