Nic on TVC 2010

TVC 2010 was held over the weekend on 12-14 March. We had almost 30 participants at this special annual event, catering to the personal development of our volunteers. I am deeply grateful to the organising team, comprising Bing Rong, Vege, Shu Feng, Vanessa, Ye Kai, Brenban, Colin, Vivian and Glenda; and the two key staff in charge of TVC, Mirabel and Basia.

At TVC 2010, I also called for volunteer driven initiatives, which Trybe will support, such as “interest groups” and “coaching and volunteer buddy groups”. I look forward to hearing from the volunteers on the different interest groups that they hope to set up. If you have a particular interest and if you want to lead or be involved in that group, please email me at nicholas.lee@trybe.org, indicating what group you would like to set up and whether you will be leading that group or you have someone in mind to lead that. We will be more than happy to work with you to kick-start this initiative.

Trybe is also in the process of firming up its development pathway for volunteers. We are going to launch the new training roadmap for volunteers in May/June and I look forward to your continued participation in training and learning – to be effective at everything we do and to keep learning. Trybe is committed to enhance the continued training and development of its staff and volunteers.
