Miss Enthusiastic on why she volunteers in Trybe

Min Min was awarded 'Miss Enthusiastic' at Trybe's Volunteer Appreciation 2009 last December (read about the event here). We have witnessed her boundless energy, commitment and growth over the years of her volunteering with us.
Find out below what keep her going in Trybe!

"I don't say this to brag about how long I have been in Trybe and all my "achievements" and blah blah blah. But I have been in Trybe for quite a little bit, about 4 fantastic years.
Many people told me I will just get "sian" of it, like how I get bored of everything easily. But I stayed, for 4 years, and my excitement level HAS NOT DROPPED. To be able to participate in ANY Trybe event, even if it means travelling to office for 1.5 hours to help pack logistics (one of my weaker skills) for a programme I can't even attend - that brings immense joy to me.
What reason do I have to keep on doing this?
1. The people in Trybe - from volunteers to staff to the kids of the staff (Haha!)
Everyone has this spirit that cannot be described and is not found and is really needed in many organisations around the world.
The love they have for one another leads them to do things beyond the call of duty. And this love is spreading around!
2. The youths
The problems the youths face cannot be compared to what adults face... because they aren't the same anyway.
Many people think that youths are concerned with problems and issues that are "so easy to solve!", "useless", "waste of time" and so on and so forth.
If they are, why do you think the youths are still facing these problems? And let's FACE the fact here: the youths HAVE problems. Everyone has problems.
I have problems too! But that doesn't make me any different.
There is so much they can do and achieve, if only they are given the abilities and chances to do so.
They are, as cliche as it sounds, the future of the future."
